Mike

with a Tamajaq Friend.
Christmas is a time for family and friends. This was the first Christmas where we did not have any family with whom to celebrate. For many years we had wondered if we would ever develop meaningful friendships among the people of Niger. In answer to our prayers, God has brought some very special people into our lives. And this past Christmas, we invited Hama and his family over for our traditional Canadian Christmas dinner. It was a fun evening of explaining what we do and why. They enjoyed the roast chicken (no turkey) dinner with stuffing. But a highlight of the evening was having our kids explain the Jesse Tree (an Advent Tree) with its 25 symbols that explains God's plan of salvation from Creation to the Coming of Jesus. Hama told us later that he and his wife were up until 1 AM talking about what they had heard.
