Visitors from Nebraska and Michigan

Last September Mikki put out an urgent request for a group to come out and work with the children and young people during our annual Spiritual Life Conference.  The conference is planned each year to encourage and refresh our missionary and national staff.  The Andersons (Carl, Leona, Amy and Andrew) and the Harrigers (Steve and Lisa) came from Omaha Nebraska and the Redmers (Randy, Julie, Jillian and Joelle) came from Michigan.

These families did a super job.  They put together a very good program for the kids.  The young people expressed their appreciation not only for the time the team put into preparing, but their love and concern for them.  

The team also took in some of the local sights and sounds.  The ladies had their hair braided and their hands and feet dyed with henna.  They rode camels.  Part of the group visited Timbuktu in Mali while the other half went into the bush to see the giraffes.  All of them got to try their hand at bargaining in the local markets.

A special thank you to the churches and individuals who made it possible for this group to come out and be an encouragement to all of us.
