"Education founded on the principles of the Word of God is one of the most effective means that the Lord gave us to allow the church to get out of the rut of poverty and misery."

Introducing
Jean Luc Marcellin

Want to get involved?

As a family, we have decided to be part of the Marcellin's support team.  If you would also like to help support this couple and Christian education in Niger,
Here's how.

Jean Luc was born in Niger.  He studied in France and Canada with a degree in electrical engineering. He later did his theological training in Canada.  He has been teaching full-time at Sherbrooke College, a Bible college in Quebec.  We in SIM Niger have found a kindred spirit in Jean Luc .  He too sees Christian schools, whose curriculum is fully Christian, as the best hope we have of bringing lasting transformation to Niger.

Jean Luc and his wife Brigitte are missionaries with SIM.  They are committed to coming to Niger for six months in 2009 to help with the creation of a Christian teacher training center.   They will need around $3000/month to come and work in Niger.

Being a well-trained Nigerien and committed believer, Jean Luc will be a great asset to our Christian Education team here in Niger.
